Hey altos!

Firstly, I wanna thank pmz for that lovely long post. (I read through till the end!) Like she said, we year 4s (especially the 4 of us) are very sad to have to leave you, but we'll come back to visit. Please do your best in everything all give your fullest support to the next comm. You, as a section can make a difference in choir as long as you try. I'm sure the rest will be able to tell that "Hey, the altos are doing so much better" and follow suit.

Ok. Back to what I'm really here for. HANDOVER. Yes you heard me. It's DHSCHOIR HANDOVER 2008. We're aiming for it to be held on the 28th of march, but if it doesn't go through then it'll be on the first week of april. We'll be having our election session on 24th march which is a monday, after foyer concerts. Be sure to spread the word around and please consider carefully who you would like to vote for. Okay. I think i shall stop here cause it's late at night and my eyes are closing. Lol. See ya tmr at RV concert!

love,
trish

hello my babies! :D

musical promenade has come & gone, i know you guys are craving for a break so here it is :) you all have put in a lot of effort into this and i can see it but you guys need to learn to focus more alright! there's a time for everything so now you have a well-deserved break yay give yourself a pat on the back if you had the determination to read till here :]

to my year1s: first concert alr at vch, good lor :( it was an enriching experience aye? you guys got to learn what it's like to stage a performance, don't feel upset you only got to sing 5 songs, it's still quite a lot to learn in a very short time so you did good alr :)

you all need to really focus more & listen to your Sl and/or conductor and please don't play so much with your seniors! well you all are probably glad the break is here so you don't have to endure my scolding you all for about 1 month (& more), but do remember that you MUST exercise self-discipline bec choir isn't all about fun & games kae. we need to maintain or heighten our standard, so do jiayou and learn to be serious when the time calls for it :D

to my year2s: first full concert! :D How did it feel, tiring to keep standing there & smiling like you're being paid for it :( killed your feet right :(( two more years aye :((( but hope the passion you have for choir is still there & you will endure and live through it!

also pay attention & make your scores as dirty as possible, bec you're seniors now. sounds scary aye. yeah it is :) you're the second youngest in the choir so the bond & relationship between you and the year1s are very crucial. you need to differentiate between the serious things and the fun stuff, and at times you must voice out your opinions bec you're going to be the ones who're going to be second-t0-helm alr :) the year1s will feel the closest to you bec the age gap between you both is the smallest, you will be their ultimate role model so you MUST and i emphasize MUST set a good example for them! you guys can do it, we believe in you :]

to my year3: solo kia : D don't feel sad about being the only year3 alto cuz i feel like the odd-one-out in my year as well (only doub sci alto, only year4 alto2 -_-) bec we still love you veryvery much! as an Sl you have put in your utmost effort and we can see that :) thankyou very much although sometimes you struggle as much as us through stupid songs like norveg and tangueando & fixing parts that never stay fixed, oh the frustration! well i understand that : )

please enjoy your break! you well & truly deserve it :D of course you also need to keep your voice in check cuz you're gonna be the ultimate senior in choir real soon :( i know it's sad bec you'll miss me *cough* ... and you will also need to uphold a positive image so both year1s & 2s can follow and be inspired by you :D Your high & energy levels are astounding maybe even more 强 than mine, so keep that up to keep everyone else's morales up. you can do it!

to my special year4s: our last concert! D: it felt weird singing Day after day bec that's the very very ultimate last performance song we're ever gonna sing with the jhChoir :( even if we join the shChoir it won't feel the same but their gowns are so chio i probably won't mind *wink* Nah kidding.

we've been through so much together, have we ever realised it? we've walked about 3 years ++ in this road we all chose back in 05, coming in as scared juniors who literally looked up to our seniors, do we still remember how fearful we were of them? how they drilled us, and, when we became seniors, how we didn't want our own juniors to suffer like we did? i guess back then we kept largely to our tight cliques never visualizing ourselves standing where we are, never realising how far we'd come together as a team of 4 sexy chiobus :D

yet now we've just experienced our last concert 3 days ago, ah the sadness. has it sunk in yet, the feeling of 'last'? being a year4 is scary in the sense that we have a lot of 'lasts', everything's gonna be our last soon. We're all maturing faster, oh the growing pains D: we've been through so much but we've never given up on each other or we won't be where we are today. through this all i'm happy to have met and worked with people like you in alto where we're one happy family and it's like the family only has mamas and no papas -_-

we are 4 very different people yet we've worked as one & teamed together, maybe by chance or forced to i dunno, but we've done it. we've tried our best and put in our all for our one last chance to shine and yes, we've done it :) we can now take our break and sit back and shake our legs (after april) knowing that we leave choir with no (or minimal) regrets. take away the good memories and leave the bad in lt3 where it belongs and will stay :D

we've worked our way to the top and fought for our rights and stuff, attempted disciplining the juniors to the best of our abilities, but even if they ignore us, we won't give up hope on them, bec we have a duty to take care of them :) and we've held each other up as we walked slowly to the top, and now we have to step down in one giant jump, can we make it through again? we came together as one, and now we leave together also, it's been really special. tiring, but special. i have enjoyed every moment spent, what with the tears and the pain, but it was all for a good cause. alto has made my life in choir scintillating, and i miss it already :( thank you all for guidance, words/hugs of encouragement, will never ever forget i was once part of alto and rising upwards with you alto1 darlings :) the youngest alto2 loves you all veryvery much ♡

--
we have moved through a phase, a major stepping stone in our lives. as year4s we won't be here for 09's syf, so do a good job and make us proud of you :] Continue to strive to make dunmanhigh choir a better choir! i know you are tired out by our constant drumming and that's why stamina is something you cannot, must not and will not lack :)

you will make us sad, not happy, to leave.
you will make us proud, not ashamed, of our standard.
you will make everyone look up to, not look down on, your singing.

most of all, you will not let yourselves down. respect yourselves, respect your singing. we are always here should you feel you need help, guidance, or simply a listening ear. do not hesitate to show the world how great you can be; it is these big bold initial steps of courage that will eventually propel you to fly high. do not forget that we love you very much even though sometimes you bring us a lot of heartache, and we honestly want the best for you :]

you have learnt a lot through 08's musical promenade Vii. do not forget what you have picked up, if you must please write it down ;) every concert, every performance you make has a learning point; do not forget where your priorities lie. choir is a physically & mentally demanding activity, do not underestimate its draining powers. take good care of yourselves and you will thus take good care of the choir. protect it, bec it's very delicate :)

above all, i love you very much. i know that when i reprimand you you feel humiliated, but that's a learning journey. think of what you can improve on not just when ms tham is in front but when your Sl or Sc is talking. think of what you can do to make their jobs easier bec one day you might be the one talking to a section/choir. think about what you're doing to help the choir improve, you want to be proud of your cca aye? :)

thankyou for putting effort into this concert :] it has been memorable and i will keep the memory locked in my heart forever. keep going, working together as a team, so you may excel :D learn to be independent and stand on your own two feet!

and in case you dare to forget what your beloved year4s look like ...

puimun loves you! ♡

p.s. Ah jingqi the picture is gone :((
